amenlover,
i'm not looking to argue, so please read this calmly. i purused through
the prono message board postings, and couldn't help but notice that
you're taking the "fire and brimstone" approach to preaching, which
works with some, but not with others.
a lot of people have this view of baptist preachers being all fire and
brimstone, and i hate to say that that's what you're propagating out
there. perhaps you should attempt a different approach to your
ministry?
the bible shows that jesus didn't go around preaching fire and brimstone
to the sinners he was trying to reach. he did so, however, to the
pharisees and other religious leaders who should have known better,
since they knew who god is. the people you are trying to reach
might/might not have a good idea of who god is. a lot of people such as
yourself have probably turned them away from trying.
try a love ministry. try to befriend these people. ask them why
they're intereted in s & m, beastiality, etc. jesus befriended
prostitutes, telling them of the kingdom of god, not of hell. given,
there are many parables which talk of "much wailing and grinding of
teeth", but you've got to read the gospels and try and mimic his
ministry. having HELL all over your site doesn't tell me that you're
focused on the kingdom of heaven, only on the kingdom of hell.
in christ,

Subject: Why I rejected Christ
I rejected Christ's credit application because he has no prior credit history. I know he would like to have that shiny new red Ford F250 sitting out on the lot, but he doesn't have a 10% down payment and he said he can't swing the monthly payment of $311.76. Now you and your friend Jesus get off my lot or I'll call the police!

Dear Amenlover...I stumbled on your site as I was killing time waiting to go
to work. I must say it was kind of dissapointing and a let down. I do pray
for your success in your journey, but keep in mind you can catch more flies
with honey than vinager. You have more sarcasm and bad attitude in your
journal than I have ever come across. I do respect your views and agree with
most of them but any unsaved viewer seems would leave your site without
getting the message before you even get it across. Seems like it is kind of
hard to "feel the love of Christ" in your sarcastic words. Jesus loves me my
friend...must have missed that somewhere in your preaching. He loves you
too. I will continue to pray for your ministry and your kind and loving
heart. Please forgive any sarcasm as I meant it in only the kindest way.

Why do you think that only Baptists are going to heaven? Jesus said "Love one
another as I have loved you." He hated no one. One of his closets friends was
a prostitute. Just because another religion calls God Buddha or Mohammed does
not mean they are going to hell. They believe in God, but they call him
something else. Wiccans do not worship a goat. They believe in God just as I
do. They don't worship the devil because they don't believe in hell. Their
theory is that scaring someone with the fiery pits of the underworld is
childish. People should want to do good, not to be rewarded in afterlife, but
because they want to. That's exactly what Jesus calls us to do. He does not
want us to hate someone because they are different. As for your civil rights
comments, are you in the KKK?

Dear Sir,
I would like to start of by saying, I am 16 years old and have attended
almost every kind of church there is. I am non-denominational, because
Christian is NOT a religion, it is a way of life, a label for all the
religions, when they have accepted CHRIST into their hearts, a soldier of
God. How could you POSSIBLY be working for the Lord when thou art so
slanderous to all others? I was reading your Frequently Asked Questions and
it was this line that caught my eye, "But almost as bad as the fire will be
all the Asians and Indians and homosexuals and liberals all lined up and
yakking at you about their civil rights and about how there is not one true
Way but many ways to salvation which is a false belief of course but they
will still cling to it to pass the time of which there will be a lot!" That
is making quite an assumption. ALL the Asians, Indians, and homosexuals,
this would be a universal statement. I have met many an Asian who are
Christian and the same with Indians and homosexuals. Yes, the lifestyle
homosexuals have chosen is wrong, but God does not condemn them for that.
Once your name is in the Good Book, if your prayer to the Lord was true and
straight from your heart, it can NEVER be removed. It says so right in the
Bible. You know, even people who pat you on the back and tell you what your
doing is right, you continuously put them down. Except for the "ones" who
work with you. The words you use are harsh and not only harsh, but
slanderous. Fags? It is said to be a cigarette, or something that has tired
you out. HOW DARE you point fingers at anyone but yourself. You constantly
repeat that EVERYONE Is evil and going to hell. Working for the Lord is a
great thing, but to do it in such a harsh way is terrible. God has love for
all. Why would he even send his SON down here to die for those WHO HAVE
SINNED. The King James Version of the Bible, which I have studied for many
years in a private school, is NOT the most accurate version out there. If
you wanted the real version, go for the Hebrew, baby. Jews are God's
children, also stated in the Bible. Even your sinner's prayer is
blasphemous. God showed us how to pray in the Bible. That is the prayer
that could have you saved, if you so desired. Just letting you know. I know
I am only one opinion, but you sir are also only one opinion. You are trying
to convert everyone to your ways, which is wrong. Work for the Lord and not
yourself. I shall pray for your soul.
In Christ,

Subject: you're fascinating!!
honestly, you intrigue
me...very much so. i have to say that i didn't really
read your journal quite yet, only skimmed it. i plan on reading more
in-depth later. i dont want you to think that i am christian, or
"moral", or
that i neccesarily agree with anything you say, that is not what
fascinates
me. what fascinates me is that you convince so many that you're serious
all
the time. so many people are offended by what you say, but i personally
think you have a pretty good sense of humor. i honestly think that you
should ask god to make a journal entry of his own. no, i am not making
fun
of you at all. i am completely and utterly serious. i would very much
like
to know what god has to say. i would like to know, specifically, what he
would have to say to me. and since you seem so confident in your
closeness
to god, i would like you to ask him. i would ask him myself, but i
wouldnt
know how, and if he did speak to me, i likely wouldnt know it. and who's
to
say he would speak to me at all? i have a very good notion of how you
will
see me, and i cant wait to find out what you will think. please do not
get
angry at me for being who i am. feel free to try to convert me, but make
sure that when you write back to me, you add some other content. i look
forward to hearing from you.

Subject: awesome
so this
nonchristian girl wrote a comment in my journal saying "believing
in
astrology doesn't make you anti-Christian." i wrote my
arguement, and she
wrote back saying she still doesn't agree 100%. guess she can't
understand
since she's not saved :o( but then i went to her journal and read
her latest
entry, which mentioned you, so i checked you out, lol. what you're
doing on
livejournl is awesome, and you know persecution is going to hit you, but
you
also know that if you saved one person, you've done your job. i
write stuff
in my journal about God all the time, i don't know how seriously people
take
it, whether it's just words or they actually reflect on my ideas. honestly
though, i don't like that you say your journal is God's journal cause
that's
kinda saying you're God, when you're just one of his children, you know?
but
anyway, keep it up :o)

Religion is the most
destructive force on earth. It causes more
wars and suffering than any government ever has. More children have
been molested and shafted by priests and members of the faith than
any organisation on the planet and you are all closed minded. On a
shorter
note: You are a skunk pussy and your web site sucks. I will
see you in hell where you will no doubt be on your knees sucking the
cock of the devil.
P.S You are a lunatic.

Some interesting tidbits...
By the way. It seems as if
you forgot somehow that sin does not exist, just as
good and evil do not exist. If they do, to whose opinion is it left to?
Couldn't be god's, because god is perfect and it would not be considered
opinion, it would be factual and absolute, to be factual and absolute,
it would be nothing that could be thought of as otherwise. Sin is a
juxtaposition to something, and therefore can not exist absolutely.
Therefore, it does not exist. You also seemed to have forgotten the fact
that satan and hell were written into the bible roughly a thousand years
after the establishment of the religion that follows the teachings of
Jesus Christ. It was written in because the church thought that the
wrathful as well as loving image of god was not appropriate, or not
as appealing as it could be, so good and evil were
beared on two sides, evil creating satan. Actually, MAN creating satan.
Since good and evil do not exist, though, since the judgement is left to
man, it's not even considerable.
Why you even waste your time believing in mythology is beyond me. At the
very base, you're trusting people's understanding of the world around
them as it was 3000 years ago. I can assure you that those people were
not too sharp on their ecology.
All in all, mythology, like dragons, faeries, and gods, are fun to
believe in, but don't structure a religion based on those beliefs and
superstitions, and don't base your life on them. Jesus tapdancing
Christ, get a life.
